Saj Habib
Born in Dubai of the United Arab Emirates on July 4, 1976, Saj Habib was the oldest of four children. Being the only son of Rashid Habib and Anisa Habib, Saj was raised in the shadow of his father who was a banking mogul from Citigroup. His mother is a very educated world traveler who enjoys learning new cultures and languages.
Living and studying in many different locations around the world like Pakistan, Greece, Guam, Singapore and more, Saj Habib graduated at the top of the class at a private business high school. Later her moved to Boston Massachusetts to study for his bachelors and masters of business administration degree at Bentley and Harvard.
Soon after finishing his formal education, Citigroup contacted Saj Habib. Following in his father's footsteps, Saj Habib worked diligently to further Citigroup's mission, bringing honor to the long line of bankers in the Habib family. However, Saj began to feel the need to carve out his own career and destiny. "Soon," Saj said, "I will be walking down the road with my father. People will look at us and say, "That's Saj Habib and his father."
Many different financial companies tried to recruit Saj Habib away from Citigroup. Saj finally agreed to work with the New Century Mortgage Financial Corporation. This was a solid step for him out of his father's shadow in Citigroup and down the path towards building his own legacy. Saj started as the head of the struggling company's retail mortgage operations. Within a very short time frame through much hard work on Saj's behalf, the company's earnings had increased so much that the stock had risen from just $5 a share to over $50 with multiple splits.
Five years later, Saj Habib decided to start his own financial empire with the birth of the MGM International Mortgage Corporation.
